Previously Malayalam cinema had made a film on veteran actress Sri Vidya’s life. The Malayalam cinema is now making a film on senior actress Urvasi Sarada. Titled Nayika, this film would be released in Telugu and Tamil too.
Sarada will be essaying the aged role of hers and Padma Priya will play the younger Sarada in Nayika. Jayaram will play another important role and Jayaraj is the director of this film.
Looks like it is turning out to be a trend to make films about popular actresses life histories. A film called Dirty Picture is being made in Hindi which is based on the life story of item girl Silk Smitha
