He left a lucrative IT job in the US for the pure passion of films and true to his intellect, he did come up with a new wave of clean family urban entertainers and made a brand for himself. We are talking about Sekhar Kammula and right now, he seems to be in the mode of Life Is Challenging.

Apparently, sources say all this is happening due to certain financial issues for Kammula’s ongoing project ‘Life Is Beautiful’. Earlier, the film had a producer, a beautiful NRI heroine and what not, but thanks to the time taken by the talented director, both of them backed out leaving the project.

Now, it is heard that Kammula took up the mantle of producing the film and he is reportedly busy sorting out the various hiccups being the producer. However, it is more than an year since a bird has heard about the project and as time passes, the credibility of the film will also lose its sheen. Let us hope things work soon.

Jr.NTR’s much awaited movie of the season, Dammu, has hit theatres today and here goes the first day first show talk.

Punch dialogues and high range emotions are part this much hyped movie as expected by the audience. NTR’s comic timing, dialogue delivery and songs to some extent, make fans go merry. But, the film lacks an overall appeal with predictable plot and not so interesting screenplay. Director Boyapati carried the whole movie with emotion sans logic. Like NTR says in the movie about his fights, ‘Arachakam’, it is doing the same thing with normal cine audience. Many scenes remind us of Rajamouli’s Simhadri and Chatrapathi sequences but lack a full throttle impact. On the other hand fans are jubilant for this mass ‘Adbutham’ created by Junior and Boyapati. It is whistles and claps across all theatres in AP on first day.

Finally, Tollywood is witnessing the coming of women into many areas. Shresta, a lady lyric writer is now creating sensations in the tinsel town.

We are talking about Sreshta’s selection of words for writing Telugu songs which create the much needed sex-appeal for a song. Ultimately, most of the commercial songs these days either describe sensuality of women or indirectly hint at those midnight acts. Award winning director Sunil Kumar Reddy’s latest commercial film ‘Oka Romantic Crime Katha’ became the base for Sreshta to show the power of her pen.

The lady writer did a fantastic job with her soulful lyrics and thematic expressions, say critics. These are the times where a leading group of male lyricists are enjoying that position and let us see how this lady will give a tough fight for them.

Say it her style of uttering Telugu dialogues or giving animated expressions, Lakshmi Prasanna Manchu has her own style in many ways. A debate is going on in Film Nagar whether she will become a good producer or an actor!

Lakshmi has that prowess to deliver stunning performance and that is witnessed through Irendri character in ‘Anaganaga O Dheerudu’. Anyways, being a celebrity’s daughter, one can get opportunities easily and if ‘hits’ fall in place, career will automatically escalates. Coming to her production ventures, these are the days any person can produce films if they have enough bucks in their pockets. They say producing a few chat shows and films is not a big deal, but distributing the movies and planning their release timing is the thing one should look out.

Moreover, Lakshmi failed in this aspect, as none of her production ventures including ‘Nenu Meeku Telusa’ and ‘Jhummandi Naadam’ failed to recover investments despite getting a decent talk. Currently she is acting in Maniratnam’s ‘Kadal’ and ‘Gundello Godari’, while the latter one is her production venture too.

Well, if you have thought that Ram Charan attending NTR’s Badshah launch was just a coincidence and then driving NTR to Charan’s home is pure formality, think again. Why because this friendship is not a formal one. Ram Charan proved that Tarak (NTR) is his best friend by wishing him luck for Dammu movie on social networking website, Twitter.

“Wishin my friends tarak and trisha.. All the best!!! I heard tarak’s performance was intense. GRT goin guys..,” Ram Charan tweeted to Nandamuri fans delight. It came in as a surprise to mega fans even. They have heard of Chiranjeevi appreciating NTR and Mahesh Babu on their successes. But this is entirely a new experience.

This is even surprising as Charan’s recent movie Racha took digs at Nandamuri heroes ‘thigh-slapping’ habit. NTR has hit his thigh hard in the movie Dammu too. Let’s not dig into that anymore and should happily welcome this change in this generation heroes. Hope Charan and NTR do a film together soon.
