Anushka Shetty the leading lady in the Southern Industry has indeed come a long way. Whether it’s a performance oriented role or glamorous role she has carried it off with elan.
“Performance-oriented roles will live in the minds of the audience for a long time when compared to glamorous ones. The latter only gives short-lived joy. I understood this with films like Arundhathi and Nanna” says Anushka.
Saying that both the films had fetched her loads of laurels, the actress adds: “Deiva Thirumagal and Arundhathi offered me meaty characters. There is no place for glamour in these two movies. And I believe I have done justice to them.”
On Vikram, the protagonist of ‘Nanna’, she says, “From the first day of the shoot till the last day, Vikram was only seen as Krishna, a man with the mental maturity of a five-year-old. He had totally transformed himself to the role.”
Meanwhile, ‘Nanna’ has successfully completed its 25-day run today, with accolades still pouring in from various quarters. Produced by Sri Rajakaliamman Medias and released by UTV Motion Pictures, the film was directed by AL Vijay.
