Everyone needs a break to recharge and T-town stars are no exception. Most of them take a long break of two or three months after each movie. However, with the two massive strikes which lasted 40 days and upturned the schedule of around 30 films, some stars had to reshuffle or even drop their holiday plans to wrap up their films.
Mahesh Babu, who was able to squeeze in a week long holiday in Switzerland, says, “As the director was canning scenes with other artistes, I got a breather and was able to relax with my son, even though it was only for a couple of days.”
Naga Chaitanya was also able to relax during his shoot in Bangkok. “It was an ideal mix of work and pleasure and I got to spend time on exotic beaches. With three films set to roll, I had to bid adieu to a long holiday this time,” he says. Even dad Nagarjuna, who likes his holidays, had to give it up as he had two films, Rajanna and Damarukam to finish. Similarly NTR Jr., holiday plans got deferred. “Due to two strikes, the dates went haywire and he had to hurry up finishing two films,” says a friend of the actor.
Superstar Venkatesh and Ram Charan Tej, had another story to tell. Both their breaks got extended by two and 8 months respectively. And for Allu Arjun, he can’t wait for his three-week holiday with his new wife to start. Who said T-town superstars are laid back? They have sacrificed their personal lives for their professions and have helped save crores for their respective producers.
